Great Island Common

The New Castle Common

The Great Island Common is comprised of 32 acres of seaside green space and beach. The Common is a Town of New Castle owned and operated park.

The Common is open to the public from 9AM to 9PM daily.

  The Town does not offer discounted admission or rental fees for any groups (charitable, religious, non-profit, fraternal, educational, etc.)

General Admission Fees

- Per Vehicle          $15
- Senior Drivers (65+)   $7
- Veterans               $7
- Bus or Trolley      $150
- Small Bus            $75
- No Group Rates

Reservations for the Pavilions are done through the Town's Rec Desk website.  

Wedding Reservations for the 2026 park season begin on January 5, 2026. We cannot accept any reservations beyond the current season.
